The challenge
The gap between AI access and AI capability
BroadReach’s consultants had access to AI tools. What was missing was a structured way to apply them to the real work: requirements analysis, architecture decisions, project delivery and management reporting. Generic training courses teach features. BroadReach needed its team to produce higher-quality work, faster, with AI as a genuine lever rather than an occasional shortcut.
The additional complexity was that the team spans distinct roles with fundamentally different needs. A business analyst working through a requirements register faces different AI application challenges than a solution architect assessing integration risk, or a delivery lead preparing a stakeholder report. A single course for everyone would have served no-one well.
AI access is not AI fluency
Licence costs were already committed. The missing piece was structured application: knowing when, how and for what to use AI in a professional consulting context.
Generic training doesn’t stick
Off-the-shelf AI courses teach tools. They don’t teach the judgment required to apply those tools to the specific outputs a consultant is accountable for.
Different roles, different needs
Business analysts, solution architects and delivery leaders operate in different information environments. A single programme designed for all of them would have been useful to none of them.
The approach
Role-based streams, adaptive by design
Hypercube designed a three-stream programme, each built around the specific outputs, decisions and challenges of a distinct consulting role. Rather than teaching AI in the abstract, every session was anchored to real deliverables, the things BroadReach consultants are actually accountable for producing.
The programme was also built to adapt. Streams 1 and 2 followed Hypercube’s structured move-based workshop model: pre-built sessions, curated prompt chains and a cheat sheet as the tangible output from each session. When the delivery team’s needs called for something different, the programme pivoted. Stream 3 became an iterative co-design process. The team identified real requirements in each session, Hypercube built a working AI solution as a first cut, and the group iterated together until the output matched what the team actually needed. Cheat sheets gave way to working tools.

Methodology
Streams 1 and 2 followed Hypercube’s structured move-based workshop design: MAP the landscape, OWN a decision or output, ASSESS the options, trace the IMPACT and define GOVERN requirements. Each session produced a practical cheat sheet as a lasting reference tool. Stream 3 pivoted to an iterative co-design format. Sessions became working sprints where the team defined requirements, Hypercube built a first-cut solution in real time, and the group refined until the output fit the actual need.

The three-stream structure created a shared language for AI-assisted delivery across BroadReach. Analysts, architects and delivery leads now speak the same vocabulary when AI is part of the solution.

Stream 3’s iterative co-design format produced working AI solutions, built to BroadReach’s actual specifications and refined across sessions until the output matched real delivery needs. The team left with tools they could use immediately, not just skills to apply later.
